On Saturday, June 19th at 11:30 AM, the R.G. Bolden/Anna-Bell Moore Library will have a very special guest. A certain loudmouth big beaked bird known as Pat the Pelican will host a virtual program presented through Zoom for young children who have registered for Summer Reading. The program is entitled, “Pat the Pelican Takes Flight.” Pat will describe what it means to be a pelican and will discuss pelicans in general, including their diet, history, habitat, statistical information and information about the different pelican subspecies. Our feathery friend will also allow children in attendance the opportunity to ask questions and interact with him.

As mentioned above, this is a 2021 Summer Reading Program which means Summer Reading registration is required. For more information, please contact the R.G. Bolden/Anna-Bell Moore Library at 601-922-6076.
