This Book Club will have tie in to local themes. The first book is Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas. Angie Thomas although known nationally and internationally, is of course a local author. The local tie-in for the next book that the book club selects will not have to be the author. The book club will discuss and come up with the next book to read together. That is the “your” part of the name of the book club. Everyone in the book club takes ownership of the book club. We discuss the book after reading in an open format, the participants assuming leadership roles within the discussion for fun and mutual upliftment.
