Join us at the M. W. Alexander Library on June 17, 2024, at 10:00 am for an hour of celebration featuring drumming, dancing, and storytelling with Hasan Drums. This event will honor the freedom of African slaves and share the story of Abdul Rahman, an enslaved prince in Natchez, MS, who fought for his freedom, the freedom of his family, and influenced foreign trade between the continent of Africa and the United States. For more information, please call the library at 601-354-8911. We hope to see you there!
