YOU’VE MISSED THE LIBRARY, AND WE’VE MISSED YOU, TOO!
It’s our pleasure to announce that browsing by appointment is now available at the Jackson/Hinds Library System. During these appointments, you can see what your local library has on the shelves and check out materials. Just call your local library to make an appointment.
Thanks for all the patience and support you’ve shown towards the library since the beginning of the pandemic. We’re very much looking forward to seeing you soon!
Please read our Frequently Asked Questions.

We ask that all customers use hand sanitizer as they enter and as they leave the building. Hand sanitizer is provided to all of our patrons upon entry and exit. Also, you must wear a mask or properly-placed facial covering at all times, and maintain six feet of distance from others whenever possible.
What if I’m late to my appointment?
Your appointment begins when you arrive, but it still ends at the prescribed time. For example, if you arrive at 1:15 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. appointment, you will only have until 1:30 p.m. to finish browsing and checking out your materials.
