Make plans to show your support of your JHLS library branch on August 25th!

Get your photo taken and share why you love your library. This is an advocacy event to show lawmakers the impact public libraries make during one day in communities across Mississippi!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Snapshot Day 2020 will be a little different this year due to limited access to our library branches, but you can still join in the fun!

  • Get your photo taken while receiving curbside pickup service. More about curbside pickup here.
  • Get your photo taken while visiting during a scheduled appointment for computer usage, printing, copying and faxing. More about our appointment service here.
  • Most importantly, please take our Snapshot Day survey when you arrive. Your participation will enable library advocates to increase public awareness and show the value of libraries to decision makers.
  • You can also leave a “love note” to share why you love your library!
  • Take our author poll to choose your favorite classic and contemporary Mississippi authors. Also available online at jhlibrary.org/writerpoll2020.
  • Ask for this year’s Snapshot Day coloring sheet to take home. You can also download a copy at this link. There won’t be a contest this time, but you are welcome to compete with friends and family!

We’ll have special incentives for your participation. Stay tuned for updates!
