What’s it Wednesday
November 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
There will be a non-fiction focus (things in nature that glow-in-the-dark, nocturnal animals, etc) where the children will have a pile of books and/or printed material available. We will instigate conversation starters and then discuss the subject at hand, where they can ask questions and tell what they know. We will then participate in a science experiment related to what we have discussed. For October and November, many (but not all) of our subjects will fit the season. (For instance: For a week in October, we will study “Creatures of the Night” or nocturnal animals. For Halloween, we will discuss creatures and objects that naturally glow in the dark and we will make glow-in-the-dark slime. In November, we will address subjects like leaves changing color (chlorophyll)
