Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest

Medgar Evers Library | January 17, 2020 | Events for School Aged Children

In tribute to the legacy of Dr. King, the Medgar Evers Library will host a essay contest for students in grades K-12. This year, we ask the students to reflect on the following theme: "Living Dr. King's Dream: Matters in 2020!"

During the program, contestants will read their essays aloud to a panel of judges who will select award recipients based on several categories.

Registration is required and more information is available at the library. The essay submission period ends January 15 at noon. Please call 601-982-2867 with questions. Refreshments will be served. This program is for all ages.
