CELEBRATE WITH US RUTH’S RETIREMENT
It is with mixed emotions that the Raymond Public Library announces the retirement of Earner Ruth Christian. When she began her journey with us 36 years ago, little did she know how valuable she would become to the Jackson Hinds Library System.
Ruth’s attention to detail, while keeping the broader picture in mind, has been exceptional. Ruth is well-known for her smile, challenging work, commitment and being a friendly person. Her willingness to put in the effort to help the Raymond Library grow and reach our goals has been integral to our success and stability. In addition to her incredible competence and skill, she has been a friend to all with her thoughtfulness and quiet encouragement. She has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that we have come to depend upon.
Ruth is looking forward to spending time with her husband and six grandchildren, enjoying her garden and reading. Ruth will be deeply missed but we can only feel happy for her after her many years of service. Her contributions will be a reminder us of how important she is. We owe her a debt of gratitude that cannot be repaid.
The Friends of the Raymond Library invite everyone to Ruth’s retirement celebration Friday, October 29th from 4:00 to 6:00. This is the perfect opportunity to share your memories of working with her, and to wish Ruth a wonderful retirement.
It is difficult if not impossible to sum up her achievements over 36 years of dedicated service.
Thank you for your service, Ms. Ruth, and we wish you well.
