On January 28, 2021, the Mississippi Library Commission held a ceremony to bury a time capsule of contents representing notable events from 2020. JHLS was one of several libraries to contribute items for the time capsule. Our contribution was two video files of virtual programs with historical significance. These videos are also available on our YouTube channel.
The chosen videos were the following (click on a title to view the video):
- DIY Face Mask Virtual Program (For Teens and Adults) by Medgar Evers Library – September 7, 2020
- Hail to the Chief Virtual Program by Bolden/Moore Library – November 2, 2020
Congratulations to Anne Sanders of Medgar Evers Library and Patrick McCarty of Bolden/Moore Library for having their videos selected for the time capsule!
The videos were stored on USB drives and sealed. The time capsule will be retrieved in 2040.
