Spark-O-Matic Robotics and Digital Arts is proud to be part of the robotics alliance – with Wait For It… and East Rankin Robotics – that earned the top spot at the FIRST Tech Challenge Mississippi Championship on Saturday, Feb. 29, at the University of Mississippi. This year’s state competition had 29 competitors all vying to be champions.

Spark-O-Matic was chosen by first-ranked team …Wait For It to be an alliance partner, and competed on the field successfully in final matches with that team to help win the tournament.

Spark-O-Matic team members were also proud to earn the Motivate Award at this year’s championship. The team that wins the Motivate Award, according for FIRST, “…embraces the culture of FIRST and clearly shows what it means to be a team. This judged award celebrates the team that represents the essence of the FIRST Tech Challenge competition through team building, team spirit and displayed enthusiasm. This is a team who makes a collective effort to make FIRST known throughout their school and community, and sparks others to embrace the culture of FIRST.”
