Thanks to everyone who donated coats during the Project COATS Coat Drive at Medgar Evers Library. The library served as one of many collection sites set up by the Jackson Metropolitan Retired Education Personnel Association. The coat drive benefited the students of Wingfield High School.

Project COATS graphic with illustration of 28 blue coatsThe coat drive was held December 6-16, 2019. A collection box was placed inside the Medgar Evers Library for the public to drop off new or gently-used coats ranging in sizes from youth small to extra large.

With your help, 28 Wingfield High School students will have coats from the library’s collection box to keep them warm this winter. Great job!

Special thanks to the Jackson Metropolitan Retired Education Personnel Association for hosting the coat drive.
