Executive Director
Newly appointed Executive Director of the Jackson Hinds Library System with decades of experience in library administration, strategic planning, and focus on service excellence. Holds a Master of Library and Information Science and a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Focused on enhancing the Jackson Hinds Library System’s role as a cornerstone of community life by providing innovative services and increasing visibility and access to welcoming library spaces.
Morgan Hedglin, MLIS
Deputy Director
In my capacity as Deputy Director, I serve as the Head of Public Service with 14 direct report managers under my supportive leadership while reporting to the Executive Director. I am active in the MLA. I serve as the official liaison to all system-wide friends of the library groups. I formerly served at the Pearl Library (Central Mississippi Regional Library System) and gathered six years of branch management experience. “I am excited about learning, growing, and leading as we design new library service in Hinds County.”
I received my bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Alabama and a master’s in library science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
