Synopsis: During the Civil Rights movement in 1965, blacks were still not able to vote due to discrimination and bias testing. In 1965, a 54-mile march in Selma to Montgomery became the battlefield for the right to vote in political election. Protesters overcame deadly violence from local authorities to gain voting rights.
