Join Ms. Mattie Stevens virtually of Girls Who Code for this exciting program. This 12-week virtual program will teach the computer science skills girls will need to make an impact in their community while preparing for a career in tech. Participants will get exposure to tech jobs, meet women in tech careers, and join a supportive sisterhood of girls in tech. No prior computer science experience is required. Held Wednesdays and Fridays through December 17, excluding the week of Thanksgiving.

This program is hosted by the Medgar Evers Library and registration is required.

The purpose of Girls Who Code is to teach girls to code and program, with the goal of increasing the number of computing jobs held by women. Girls Who Code (GWC) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and computer science. Their mission is to inspire more girls to become computer scientists and engineers.
