Every Tuesday evening (excluding major holidays), the Bolden Moore Library will have a special program called, "Anime Extravaganza." The program will feature a popular anime title, either a movie or series, which will be screened for teens. This program will generate better cultural awareness of Japan and Japanese society, specifically how it relates to the phenomenon known as anime. Cultural snacks and refreshments will be served, and our meeting room will be decorated with anime wall scrolls, pictures and other similar materials for the occasion. All teens are invited.

Teens! Come join the Spark-O-Matic Robotics Club! This STEM education program, aligns the skills and knowledge needed to bridge the gap between secondary education and college/career success. Students develop critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills while utilizing real-world applications. In addition, teens are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Teens meet every Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Medgar Evers Library. Join today!

Come play Bookopoly for fun and prizes. Pick up your game board and instructions at the Medgar Evers Library and play Bookopoly from January 11 through February 29. Work your way around the game board by completing tasks, such as checking out a book, visiting our website or getting out into the community.

Completing color sets earns you an entry slip for a small prize. Complete the entire board to enter into a drawing to win the GRAND prize! The contest ends February 29 and all prizes will be awarded on March 7. For adults and teens.

Come join us at the Medgar Evers Library on the second and fourth Saturday of every month for our new Teen Comic Book Club, "The Brick X Wall"! Teens will read and discuss a new graphic novel, comic book or manga title each month.

Members of the CHEC (Christian Home Educators Connection) ACT 30+ Club will facilitate the program.

The purpose of the workshops is to help high school students successfully prepare for the ACT college entrance exam by providing test strategies, tips, one-on-one tutoring, and free/low-cost test prep resources. If you are interested in attending one or both of the sessions, please sign up at the front desk!

Bolden Moore Library | February 20, 2020

On Thursday, February 20th at 4:30 PM, the Bolden Moore Library will present a poetry recital of featuring famous African American figures in history. All participants will write poems about their favorite African American figure in history and recite their poem. All teens are invited and snacks will be served.
