The Juneteenth Celebration is administered by your Jackson/Hinds Library System and is a community gathering of cultural expression. It is free and open to the public, and has attendees of all ages from infants to elders. It is an indoor and outdoor festival event featuring deejayed and live music, dance performances, speeches and educational talks, fun, games, and even a peach cobbler contest! There will be free food and refreshments, storytelling, drumming, and information on the history of Juneteenth. Mrs. Mississippi will be in attendance to share some words of inspiration. Also, new JHLS Director, Jeanne Williams, will open up the festivities. We are happy to have the support of community leaders and local businesses. The celebration will be located at the Medgar Evers Library starting from 10am-1pm. Call 601-982-2867 for additional information. We hope to see you there! #JuneteenthCelebration #JacksonHindsLibrary #CommunityGathering #MississippiEvents #CulturalExpression #SupportLocal #PeachCobblerContest #Juneteenth2025
