Jackson/Hinds Library System Participates at The Mississippi Book Festival 2023

JACKSON, MS, August 11, 2023 – Jackson/Hinds Library System Participates at The Mississippi Book Festival 2023

The Jackson/Hinds Library System is excited to announce its participation in the highly anticipated Mississippi Book Festival 2023 at the State Capitol. This renowned event, scheduled for August 19, 2023, celebrates the literary heritage of Mississippi, and provides an excellent opportunity for book lovers, authors, and publishers to come together and engage in a celebration of literature. As an integral part of the literary community in Jackson and Hinds County, the Jackson/Hinds Library System takes great pride in promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading among our residents. The Mississippi Book Festival perfectly aligns with our mission to connect our community to the world of books and knowledge.

During the festival, the Jackson/Hinds Library System will be hosting a booth that displays our exclusive resources for digital life. We invite festival attendees to visit our booth and discover the wide range of services and programs we offer. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with our knowledgeable librarians and staff, who will be available to give their personalized reading recommendations, answer questions, and assist with library card registrations. We will also be giving away candy and exciting prizes to children in attendance.

The Mississippi Book Festival 2023 promises to be a vibrant celebration of literature and an excellent platform for networking and collaboration within the literary community. By participating in this prestigious event, the Jackson/Hinds Library System aims to strengthen our partnerships with local authors, publishers, and fellow book enthusiasts, as we believe in the transformative power of books to educate, inspire, and unify. We extend our sincere gratitude to the State Capitol and the Mississippi Book Festival Steering Committee for providing us with this incredible opportunity to connect with the literary community and highlight the invaluable resources and services our library system has to offer.
